And how Workforce Housing usurped the funding for Affordable Housing

Following up on my last post, my suggestion of mapping the larger community interested in Artist Housing on Ersi, was not well received by the spokesperson for Maine Artists Co-Housing Group, who interpreted it, as people often do, as suggesting that I was suggesting that my idea be the entire focus of the group. I am already experiencing the reason why I do not embrace communal sharing situations, and so I am thrown back toward working for my independent concept of Business in Residence Zoning as a potential group that can develop the idea, but I don’t think I can do it alone. It is a project that needs feedback.

First, let me say that a reason for approaching the creative space issue as a zoning issue is that, through zoning, standard conditions can be established that create a ground for many diverse communities that are consistent with those conditions, a diversity that is lacking in LD2003 HP1489 as it stands now.

I perceived the group as one seeking a concrete direction. My idea would put a purposeful process into motion. Developing the critical mass of resonant communities equal to 10% of the voters in the last gubernatorial election takes time ,and during that time, the community is interacting with many other people and groups…
