You make it sound like if a writer writes for a purpose other than making money, they are not real writers. That’s fine, Call me unprofessional and a non-writer, I'm happy with being a real human.

Yes there is a gap in the marketplace for local news, with all due respect for your professionalism as a real writer, how can there be measured interest in a non-existent category in the market ? As a human, I am glad that that gap is being filled, especially as I watch what is rapidly and aggressively taking place in my hometown. If I were a professional writer I would not give voice to the unspoken because it is not measured to be of interest to the people being that the local media doesn't cover it, Lucky Me- I am not a professional- just a concerned citizen! So I can be grateful for the platform that Newsbreak offers me- the uncounted!

As is they rank my stories 8–9, all my stories stream with extra-large pictures in a stream that is mostly the status quo mainstream media with smaller images, I am featured under the heading “Local Creators” which is mostly my stories giving my stories an evergreen effect, and four out of sixteen stories have a one to one relationship between impressions and views. Those are comparatively low numbers but they indicate targeted internal distribution data because public distribution data is never 1–1. Every impression has a corresponding view. Being an unprofessional writer, I would write just for being given that kind of voice in my local forum since my local forum otherwise frequently deletes my voice, and I intend to be heard!

I am interested in local news. Think global, act local is exactly how I think. I guess I am just more broadminded and interested in the comprehensive view of interacting relationships. But then I am not a professional writer as you are.
